Ethan Paquette played in the minors.
Paquette was the Gatorade Vermont Player of the Year in 2006. He hit .235 as a freshman at the University of Vermont then improved to .321 in 2008 and hit .296 in 2009. He was tied for 5th in school history with 105 RBI when Vermont dropped baseball. Transferring to Hofstra, Paquette set a school record with 70 RBI, hitting .371 and slugging .668. He was 4th in the Colonial Athletic Association with 14 home runs and was also 4th in RBI. He was 9th in the NCAA in RBI per game (1.43). He made All-CAA. The Seattle Mariners took him in the 35th round of the 2010 amateur draft.
The Cooperstown native hit .236/.314/.329 for the 2010 Pulaski Mariners while splitting first base. He also split first base for the 2011 Everett AquaSox, batting .238/.351/.294. He then moved to France's Rouen Huskies for 2012, following a former University of Vermont teammate (Owen Ozanich) to France. He was named MVP of the French Division I finals when he led his team's to an 8th straight championship, over the Templiers de Sénart.
