Biographical Information

Erika Nakae has been on the Japanese women's national team.

After college, she signed with the Hanshin Tigers' women's team. In the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she debuted as a replacement for Yuki Kawabata at first base in a win over South Korea. Her first time up, she drew a walk from Song-hee Choi. Her first hit was off Indonesia's Gabriella Midaratri Ananda. She finished the tourney 3-for-6 with 3 walks, 5 runs and 3 RBI for the champs.

Japan advanced to the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. She appeared in the 2023 portion, going 1-for-3 with a walk, two times plunked and four runs. Japan won the title.
