Biographical Information

Infielder Erik Schindewolf played in the Arizona Diamondbacks system in 2004 and 2005. He was taken by the club in the 26th round of the 2004 amateur draft. With the Yakima Bears in 2004, he hit .308/.421/.403 with 4 home runs, 37 RBI and 15 steals in 73 games. That year, he led the Northwest League in plate appearances (340) and runs (65). His 51 walks were second in the league behind Tug Hulett's 68 and his 10 sacrifice hits were second behind Jasha Balcom's 12. With the Lancaster JetHawks in 2005, he hit .274/.408/.379 with 4 home runs and 33 RBI in 109 games. Between them, he hit .288/.413/.389 with 8 home runs, 70 RBI and 22 steals in 182 games.
