Enzo Hayashida was the youngest position player in the 2026 World Baseball Classic at age 18; Max Prejda was next-youngest and was over 6 months older. He debuted as a pinch-hitter for Dante Bichette Jr. late in Brazil's 8-0 loss to Italy and popped out against Claudio Scotti.
