Engelbert Karcovnik
Engelbert Karcovnik was on the Slovenian national team in the 1995 European Championship, their first European Championship. In their first game, he replaced Ales Smrekar at short late in a loss to Italy. He finished the event 0-for-5 and had one error in five chances. [1] He was 1 for 9 with a walk and a run in the 1999 European Championship, fielding .846 between third base and catcher. [2]
