Biographical Information[edit]

Emmanuel Dang Van was on the first French national team in an Intercontinental Cup, the 1991 Intercontinental Cup. Splitting the catching with Serge Kaouane, he was 3-for-12 with a double and a RBI, played error-free ball and allowed 16 steals in 18 tries. He was ahead of the team batting line of .181/.221/.202. Stats are not available for his entire domestic career. In 1999, he hit .404/.512/.566 with 28 runs and 25 RBI in 24 games for the Montpellier Barracudas, then he fell to .265/.383/.294 in 2000. In 2002, he batted .189/.348/.245 at age 31 for the Montigny Cougars. He returned with the '05 Barracudas to bat .231/.359/.287 in his last season in the Division Elite.
