She walked Océane Lecourt-Milliet, who stole second, was balked to third and scored on a bunt by Shirley Patin. Océane Prunier singled but McLean picked her off then struck out Clémentine Kepa. Jess Vernon replaced her in the 5th. McLean came up big against the Netherlands, succeeding Ylinen again, this time with a 8-0 deficit, two on and one out. She allowed one inherited run to score but pitched shutout ball over 3 2/3 IP (despite 6 H and 4 BB), striking out two; by the time Claury Scatliffe took over, they had a 10-9 lead and McLean got the win over Merle Langevoord.
