Biographical Information[edit]
Eishiro Yoshie played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years.
Yoshie signed with the Kyuei Flyers in 1948, and he went 16-19 with a 3.13 ERA in his first season. He led the Japanese Professional Baseball League in earned runs, and he was 4th in complete games (29, 6 behind Tadayoshi Kajioka) and 5th in losses (tied with Tsuguhiro Hattori and Juzo Sanada). He then went 9-14 with a 4.65 ERA in 1949, and he tied Giichiro Shiraki, Tadashi Wakabayashi and Kozo Naito for 10th in losses. He went to the Yomiuri Giants when the JPBL split into two leagues, but he went 3-4 with a 3.45 ERA and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yoshie was 28-37 with a 3.64 ERA, struck out 175 and pitched 578 1/3 innings in 3 seasons in NPB.
