Biographical Information[edit]
Eiji Yoshida signed with the Chunichi Dragons in 1957, but he didn't reach the big club before he left the team in 1958. He then played for the Tokyo Railway entry in the Industrial League, and he signed with the Daimai Orions in 1961. Yoshida went 4-for-15 in 1962, and he hit .262/.262/.310 in 71 games in 1963. His batting line fell to .217/.234/.239 in 1964, and he went 4-for-18 in 59 games in 1965. Yoshida only got 6 at-bats in 1966, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yoshida hit .243/.247/.272 with 41 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
