Edson Matumoto was the oldest of five Matumoto relatives on the Brazilian national team in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, alongside cousins Silvio Matumoto, Jô Matumoto, William Matumoto and Douglas Matumoto. [1] The 26-year-old was 3 for 8 with a walk, two runs and a RBI; he did not handle a chance in his one game in left field, being used as a DH or PH the other games. [2]
