Drew Coble was an American League umpire from 1982 to 1999. He worked the 1991 World Series and a pair of All-Star Games. He started his professional umpiring career in the Western Carolinas League in 1975, then moved to the Carolina League in 1976 and the Southern League in 1977. He moved up to the American Association in 1978 and stayed there until the end of 1981, after which he was promoted to the AL.
