Biographical Information

Doris Satterfield played for the Grand Rapids Chicks of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1947 to 1953. In 1949, she lead the league with 22 doubles. She was selected to the All-Star team in 1950, 1953, and 1954. While she was primarily an outfielder, she also pitched a little in 1947. She wore number 8 in her first season, then number 3 for the rest of her career.
