Biographical Information[edit]
Don Hanna played for the USA national baseball team and in the minor leagues.
Hanna was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 11th round of the 1975 Amateur Draft, but he refused to sign. He represented the USA in the 1975 Pan American Games, winning a Silver Medal. [1] He was 15-1 at ASU and went to the 1975 College World Series with them. [2] The Montreal Expos selected him in the first round of the 1976 Amateur Draft secondary phase, and he was 1-2 with a 3.30 ERA for the Quebec Metros in 1977. He also allowed 12 runs in 5 innings for the West Palm Beach Expos, and he surrendered 7 runs in 2 innings there in 1978. Hanna pitched 3 games with 19 runs allowed in 5 innings for the GCL Expos in '78, and his professional career ended.
