Biographical Information[edit]

Domas Kamandulis has been on the Lithuanian national team.

When he grew up, Lithuania had only one baseball field in the country; he had to play on soccer fields, which he described as like a bad movie. [1] He hit .211/.286/.263 and fielded .957 as Lithuania's main second baseman in the 2018 U18 European Championship. [2] He was a regular for the senior team by the 2019 B-Level European Championship, though he batted .071/.133/.143. [3] He was at .273/.429/.364 with 4 runs in 4 games in the 2022 European Championship Qualifier, fielding .917. [4]

At the 2024 European Championship Qualifier, he was dominant, producing at a .364/.385/1.182 clip with 3 homers, 4 runs and 6 RBI in 3 games, handling 6 chances without a miscue. He went deep off Romania's Iulian Serban but saved his best for their 10-9 title game win over Poland, the host, delivering dingers off Szymon Dwojakowski twice. He was 6th in average, 2nd to Vytas Valincius in slugging, tied Valincius for 5th in RBI and tied for second in homers. Lithuania won a spot in the 2025 European Championship, their first European Championship. He was named the pool MVP. [5]

Kamandulis was the first starting sacker for Lithuania in a European Championship game, batting 5th against Greece. He struck out against minor league vet Noah Zavolas his first time up. He finished 1-for-13, getting his lone hit off Mattia Aldegheri of #2 Italy. He fielded .967. He was 10th in the event with 14 assists. [6]
