There have been three players (through 2009) remembered with the first name Dolly. The first was Dolly Gray, who broke into the majors in April 1909. The second was Dolly Stark, who made his debut later in 1909. The third was another Dolly Gray, who came up in 1924.
Stark, who was born in Mississippi, played 14 years in the minors, mostly in the South. He also managed several seasons in the minors. In 1919-20 with Augusta he managed the young Curt Walker, who went on to a long major league career.
