French Division I
(Redirected from Division Élite)
The French Division I (formerly Division Élite) is the highest level of baseball in France. Its clubs compete for the Championnat de France de baseball. It is a eight-team league that plays a 32-game schedule on weekends, with the season running from late March to early September. The top four teams qualify for the playoffs with the winners of the semifinals advancing to the best-of-five finals in October. The league follows a promotion and relegation system with the Division N1A.
Jeff Zimmerman was the first player to appear in the league on their way to the majors, while Frank Mata and Harvey Garcia played here after their big league careers ended.
