Biographical Information[edit]
Dick Fishbaugh was a longtime coach.
Fishbaugh graduated college in 1956. He taught and coached at various high schools in Ohio, including Berne Union High School, Watkins Memorial High School, Pataskala High School, and Reynoldsburg High School.
Fishbaugh took the reins of Otterbein College baseball in 1967. Otterbein was Ohio Athletic Conference South division champion in 1982 and 1983, and he took the school to the 1983 Division III College World Series, finishing 2nd to fellow OAC member Marietta College. Fishbaugh passed away following a heart attack in August 1999. Coaching Otterbein from 1967 through 1999, he was 624-506-12 [1], 624-501-12 [2], or 620-504-10 [3], depending on the source.
Fishbaugh also served Otterbein as an assistant football coach, head basketball coach, facilities director of the Rike Center, assistant athletic director, and owner of Grand Slam hitting school. He was inducted into the Otterbein Hall of Fame in 2008.
