Fujimura was a first-round pick of the Yomiuri Giants in 2007 NPB draft. He spent his first few years in the minors. His Nippon Pro Baseball debut came on May 10, 2011, pinch-hitting for Takayuki Terauchi. He became Yomiuri's starter at second base that year. He only hit .222/.265/.241 in 119 games in 2011 but stole 28 bases (caught 7 times) and fielded .991 at second base. He led the CL in steals (9 more than runners-up Masato Akamatsu and Hisayoshi Chono) and was 6th with 30 sacrifice hits. He had 3 for 249 votes for the 2011 Central League Rookie of the Year Award, finishing 4th behind teammate Hirokazu Sawamura, Daiki Enokida and Kentaro Kyuko. Fujimura then played 109 games with a .252/.296/.298 batting line and 14 steals in 2012, and he tied Yoshihiro Maru and Eishin Soyogi for 10th in steals. He slumped to .191/.225/.206 in 2013, and he was 5-for-27 in 2014. He only got 4 more at-bats for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2017. He was the minor league baserunning coach of the Giants from 2019 to 2020.
