Biographical Information[edit]

Reliever Conor Lillis-White pitched in the Los Angeles Angels system from 2015 to 2018. Though he spent part of his final season at Triple-A, he never ascended to the majors. A strikeout artist, he averaged nearly 12 Ks per 9 innings of work.

He was taken by the Angels in the 32nd round of the 2015 amateur draft, a couple picks after pitcher Cody Morris (the signing scout was Jason Ellison). In his first campaign, he went 0-1 with a 2.93 ERA in 8 appearances, striking out 18 in 15 1/3 innings for the AZL Angels. In 2016, he went 1-0 with a 2.23 ERA in 17 games between three low-level clubs, striking out 55 in 36 1/3 innings. His ERA rose to 3.90 in 2017, though he still went 5-4 with 81 Ks in 67 innings over 39 games between the Inland Empire 66ers and Mobile BayBears. He pitched briefly in the Arizona Fall League that year, but allowed 4 runs (1 earned) in two-thirds of an inning for the Scottsdale Scorpions. In 2018, his final campaign, he went 4-2 with a 3.50 ERA in 46 games between the Double-A BayBears and Triple-A Salt Lake Bees. He had 98 strikeouts in 72 innings. In his first and only taste of Triple-A, he had a 3.86 ERA in 26 games, striking out 52 in 37 1/3 innings. On December 13 of that year, he was traded as the player to be named later to complete an earlier deal that sent infielder Tommy La Stella from the Chicago Cubs to the Angels. He never played in the Cubs chain, as he got hurt and was released in May 2020.

Overall, Lillis-White went 10-7 with a 3.35 ERA in 110 games (1 start). In 190 2/3 innings, he allowed 151 hits and 84 walks (1.233 WHIP), while striking out 252 batters (11.9 K/9 IP).

He later became a litigation lawyer.
