Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Connor Thomas was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 5th round of the 2019 amateur draft. He pitched at the AAA level for most of 2021, and all of 2022-2024, but did not make the majors. After the 2024 season he was left off of the Cardinals' 40-man roster and was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2024 Rule V Draft.

He had a memorable major league debut for the Brewers against the New York Yankees on March 29, 2025 - but for the wrong reasons. He relieved Nestor Cortes, who had already set a record by allowing homers on his first three pitches of the game, after he had given up 8 runs in 2 innings in his Brewers debut, and proceeded to allow a grand slam to Aaron Judge - already his second long ball of the game - in the 3rd, and then a two-run homer to Judge in the 4th. He also allowed a solo homer to Jazz Chisholm in the 3rd for a total of 8 runs allowed in 2 innings of work as the Brewers lost the game, 20-9.
