Biographical Information

Outfielder Cole Garner was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 26th round of the 2003 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Todd Blyleven and made his pro debut in 2005. Garner reached the big leagues with the club in 2011, but only for 4 games, during which he went 2 for 9. Garner continued playing in the minor leagues and independent leagues through 2017.

Garner joined the Los Angeles Angels organization in 2018 and started the year as a defensive coach for the Burlington (IA) Bees. At some point, probably in May, the Angels promoted him to hitting coach of the Mobile BayBears for the remainder of the season.
