Biographical Information

Chris Pittaro has been with the Oakland Athletics since 1991 first as a scout and cross-checker. He managed the Southern Oregon A's in 1992. He was the A's national field coordinator from 2002-2007 and became the club's director of professional scouting from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, a he was named a special assistant coach on the major league staff. He has been Special Assistant to General Manager for the A's in 2012-2013.

Pittaro's father, Sonny Pittaro, was an infielder in the Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins' chain from 1960 to 1962 and then a longtime coach at Rider College.
