Biographical Information[edit]
Chosuke Watanabe was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the 3rd round of the 1978 NPB draft, and he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He was 2-for-5 in 1982, then he went 5-for-31 in 1983. Watanabe had a 4-for-29 record in 1984, but he failed to return to the top team before he announced his retirement. He later coached in the Tigers system from 1989 to 1998.
Overall, Watanabe hit .169/.182/.246 with 11 hits in 3 seasons in NPB.
