Biographical Information

Chittari Chandu Priya has been on the Indian women's national team.

She was the starting pitcher in four of India's seven contests in the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup and relieved in another one. She lost to the Netherlands' Anouk Vergunst and Hong Kong's Tak-Kwan Fan, beat Mariam Shafiq of Pakistan and lost to the US's Meggie Meidlinger. She had a 10.88 ERA, better than the team mark of 13.31; only Girija Sunil Bodekar had a better ERA for India and Priya had their lone win. For the Cup, she was tied Yu-Chen Hsu for second in losses (one behind Shafiq), trailed only Hsu in starts, tied for the lead with two complete games (even with Yadira Boffill, Ayami Sato, Amanda Asay and Giddelys Cumana), was 4th in IP (18 2/3, between Sato and Asay), tied Mayumis Solano for the most hits allowed (38), trailed only Sadia Bibi in runs allowed (42 to 37), allowed the most earned runs (29, 6 ahead of Nabila Nawaz) and walked the most (15, two more than Hsu or Loes Asmus).

She was India's starting right fielder in the 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, hitting .250/.250/.333 with a run and a RBI in five games. She only pitched a third of an inning, allowing one hit. Only Raj Rani had more hits for India and her two steals were one shy of team leader Mona Kusumakar.
