Biographical Information

Chien-Fu Chen had a brief career in the CPBL.

Chen represented Taiwan in the 2006 Haarlemse Honkbalweek. The Macoto Cobras drafted him in the first round of the 2006 CPBL Draft, and he had a 2.70 ERA in 13 games in the CPBL minor league. He had a 3-10 record with a 3.97 ERA for the big club in 2008, and he was 4th in losses (between Chi-Wei Lin and Fu-Te Ni). However, Chen was involved in a game-fixing scandal, and he was banned for life after the 2008 season.
