Charlie Labrador has been named the Best Pitcher in the Philippines a couple times.
He allowed 7 hits and 7 runs in two innings in the 2002 Asian Games, walking one and whiffing one. He did not have the Philippines' highest ERA, which belonged to Ruel Batuto. In the 2005 Southeast Asian Games, he relieved Batuto with a 1-0 deficit in the 3rd inning of the Bronze Medal game against Myanmar with a no-hitter in progress, as Batuto was battling control problems. He went the final 6 2/3 innings to complete the no-hitter, walking none and fanning ten. He was the Philippines' most-used hurler in the 2006 Intercontinental Cup, appearing in seven of their nine games. Charlie was 0-2 with 34 runs (21 earned) in 14 innings for a 13.50 ERA, around team average. He allowed 40 hits in 86 AB for a .465 average against. He remained with the Philippines for the 2006 Asian Games.
He allowed 2 runs (1 earned) in 4 innings against the Taiwan national team in the 2007 Asian Championship; no other Filipino hurler finished with an ERA in the single digits. He then helped the Philippines to a Silver in the 2007 Southeast Asian Games.
