Biographical Information[edit]
Chao-Hung Chang has played in the CPBL. His cousin Tzu-Chieh Tien also played in the CPBL.
Chang represented Taiwan in the 2023 U-18 Baseball World Cup. Playing primarily second base, he hit .190/.321/.476 with two homers and nine RBI in eight games. In the title game against Japan, he was 0 for 3 in a loss. He led the Cup in dingers and RBI but Ren Ogata was named the All-Star 2B. He remained with Taiwan for the 2024 BFA U-18 Baseball Championship. He batted .286/.444/.500 for the champs, with 7 RBI in five games. He He tied Shinjiro Uno for third in RBI.
He was drafted by the Rakuten Monkeys in the first round of the 2024 CPBL Draft, and he debuted on April 24, 2025 against the TSG Hawks. He got his first career hit against Roenis Elías on April 27.
