Biographical Information[edit]
Cesar Galvez spent his minor league career playing in the Colorado Rockies system from 2010-2016. Galvez was known for his speed, swiping 116 bases, including 47 in his second professional season.
After his playing days ended, Galvez joined the Rockies as a minor league coach. He was the Boise Hawks hitting coach in 2018-2019. The Rockies promoted him to Boise Manager for 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the minor league season. He was then a coach for the Hartford Yard Goats in 2021 and ACL Rockies in 2022. Galvez was bench coach of the Fresno Grizzlies in 2023-2024, then finally got a promotion to Grizzlies manager in 2025. He led Fresno to the postseason in his first season as a manager.
