Biographical Information

Prior to playing in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, pitcher Carolyn Morris was a model. She joined the Rockford Peaches in 1944, and as a rookie had a 23-18 record and threw two no-hitters. The next year, she was 28-12 and tossed a perfect game on July 6th, and Rockford won the league title. In her final season, 1946, she was 29-13. Morris pitched nine innings of no-hit ball in Game Six of the 1946 championship series, only to lose the no-hitter in the 10th inning. She was removed from the game in the 12th inning and was not involved in the decision. The Racine Belles eventually won the game, 1-0, in 14 innings to clinch the title.

Overall, she was 80-43 with a 1.55 ERA in 134 games over three seasons.

After her baseball career, Morris was a realtor.
