California Intercollegiate Baseball Association
The California Intercollegiate Baseball Association was formed in 1927 by USC, University of California, Saint Mary's College of California, University of Santa Clara and Stanford University. The CIBA lasted until 1966. Member schools also included at various times Loyola Marymount University, UCLA, Occidental College, Pepperdine University, the University of San Francisco and Whittier College.
The CIBA was essentially the southern portion of the Pacific Coast Conference which was the precursor to the Pacific-8 Conference. The CIBA schools were viewed as one of the premier baseball conferences of the era.
