Biographical Information[edit]
Brown Rogers was a right-handed pitcher who played in the minor leagues from 1906 through 1913. His professional career included time with the Hot Springs Vapors, Washington in the Pennsylvania-Ohio-Maryland League, the Wheeling Stogies, the Atlanta Crackers, the San Antonio Bronchos, and the Los Angeles Angels. The Cincinnati Reds took him in the 1907 Rule V Draft but he did not make the majors. He was 21-9 with a 4.00 ERA for San Antonio in 1912, tying Chuck Rose and Frank Browning for 5th in the Texas League in victories. He was born in Pottsville, AR, and he attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.
At Louisiana Tech University, Rogers was the coach, manager, and pitcher on the school's 1907 baseball team[1]. He died in San Antonio, TX in 1932.
