Biographical Information

Brad Powell played for the USA national baseball team and in the minor leagues.

Powell was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 3rd round of the 1981 Amateur Draft, but he didn't sign and went to college. He represented the USA in the 1982 Amateur World Series. He was then picked by the Cleveland Indians in the 3rd round of the 1983 January amateur draft and the Boston Red Sox in the 12th round of the 1984 Amateur Draft, but he refused to sign either time. The Baltimore Orioles selected him in the 15th round of the 1985 Amateur Draft, and he was 3-2 with a 3.60 ERA for the Bluefield Orioles in 1985. That was his only professional season.
