Biographical Information[edit]
In 2009, Bill Short was elected to the International League Hall of Fame.
Despite a sterling minor league career win-record of nearly 60 percent, Bill Short won a total of only five major league games - three of them coming in his 1960 rookie year. He was 1959 Pitcher of the Year in the International League with the Richmond Virginians.
