Catcher Bill Duplissea played five seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, briefly reaching as high as the AAA with the Albuquerque Dukes.

Since 2006, Duplissea has been the bullpen catcher for the Kansas City Royals.

His last name is likely a corruption of "Duplessis", a common French Canadian name.
