Biographical Information[edit]
Barb Hoffman played third base and second base for the South Bend Blue Sox of the AAGPBL in 1951 and 1952. She wore number 25 during both years of her career. She played in the 1952 AAGPBL All-Star Game and hit a home run, which she recalled as one of the greatest moments of her career. Prior to her baseball career, she had played softball and was in an organized league since at least 1949. After her time in the AAGPBL ended, she played for a women's basketball team called the South Bend Hoosierettes.
Her name is misspelled as "Hoffmann" on her 1995 Fritsch baseball card.
