Founded in late 2021 as an expansion franchise for the Pecos League, the Austin Weirdos took the field for the first time in the 2022 season. After difficulty securing a consisted home field, the Weirdos played their entire 54 game schedule on the road for the 2024 season. The team sat out the 2025 season as they were slated again to be a travel only team. Austin is planning on securing a permanent home venue and playing in the 2026 Pecos League season.
