Biographical Information[edit]
Arthur Van Winkler was a minor league player who appeared in games for the Toledo Mud Hens, Grand Rapids Furniture Makers, and Columbus Senators in 1896 and 1899. He attended Centre College in Louisville, KY in 1891. His position is unknown but evidence shows that he may have been a pitcher because his uniform's right sleeve is short (in the era, it was common for shirts to be made with one short sleeve on the pitcher's throwing arm) in the image of him featured above.
