Biographical Information[edit]
Anthony Russo was a pitcher in professional baseball who played in the minor leagues from 1955 to 1956. He appeared for the Kokomo Giants and Idaho Falls Russets in 1955, then for the Hazlehurst-Baxley Tigers and Idaho Falls Russets in 1956. Born on July 22, 1935, he died on November 1, 1990, in Brooklyn, NY.[1][2] At the time of his death, he was the Dean of Students at Kingsborough Community College of the City University of New York.[1]
Russo later coached baseball at Long Island University-Brooklyn. Hired before the 1962 season, he led the program from 1962 through 1965 and compiled a 65-15-2 record[3][4].
