Biographical Information[edit]
Andrew Betcher graduated from Ripon College in 2021 with a degree in English. While still a student he worked as a social media manager for the College Scouting Bureau. After graduation he joined Starters Sports Training as a Pitching Development Coordinator, a position he held through 2022.
The Chicago Cubs hired Betcher in 2023 as a development coach in their minor league system. He was probably assigned to the Iowa Cubs, though this could not be confirmed. He was with the Iowa Cubs as a development coach focused upon pitching in 2024 and an assistant pitching coach in 2025. He was pitching coach of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2026.
