Biographical Information[edit]

Alyssa Zettlemoyer was drafted as a catcher by the WPBL New York club of the Women's Professional Baseball League 10th in Round 2. She had appeared in games as both a catcher as well as a second baseman in high school. On May 23rd, 2026 she caught for recently-retired major league pitcher Charlie Morton in an exhibition game in Cooperstown, NY, meant to honor veterans who served their country. The game was rained out after just 1 inning however. Both of her parents served in the Marines.
