Alex Zapata

Alex Zapata played for Colon in Panama. He tied for the league lead with 8 home runs in 1994 and led with 25 runs in 2000. He later was a New York Mets scout in Panama and managed Colon. He was named Panama's Manager of the Year in 2017. As a scout, he signed Alberto Baldonado, Víctor Moscote and Rubén Tejada. He coached for the Panamanian national team when they won a Silver Medal at the 2017 Bolivarian Games.
