Biographical Information[edit]
Alex Woodson was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 16th round of the 2005 amateur draft. He made his pro debut with the 2005 Bristol White Sox, going 1-0 with a save and a 2.55 ERA in 16 outings. In 2006, he was 2-3 with a save and a 4.03 ERA for Bristol and also went 0-1 with a 7.45 ERA for the Kannapolis Intimidators. He spent 2007 with the Great Falls White Sox, posting a record of 6-2, Sv, 4.93 in 20 games but allowing a .309 average.
In the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup, Woodson allowed four hits and one run in 2 2/3 IP for Puerto Rico, which won the event and a spot in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. Alex is back with Puerto Rico for the World Cup.
