Biographical Information

Thomas Maguire pitched one game in relief for the Cincinnati Reds on June 16, 1894, against the Pbhiladelphia Phillies giving up 9 runs on 15 hits in 6 innings. He was listed for years simply by the approximate last name "McGuire".

He was a pitcher for the Nicetown team of Philadelphia's Suburban League and his career as an amateur was largely chronicled in local papers at the time.
