Biographical Information

Yutaka Kamata was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 3rd round of the 1965 NPB draft, and he only got 6 at-bats in his first season. He played 37 games with a .210/.231/.320 batting line in 1967, and he went 3-for-28 in 43 games in 1968. Kamata only had 12 more at-bats for the big club, and he announced his retirement in 1970.
