Biographical Information

Yuta Nakamura has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nakamura was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 5th round of the 2013 NPB draft, and he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He joined the rotation in 2017, and he went 5-4 with a 3.74 ERA that season. He slumped to 3-4 with a 6.04 ERA in 2018, and he pitched a shutout inning in the 2018 Nippon Series Game 4; the Carp lost to the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in 6 games. Nakamura only pitched 2 games in 2019, and he went 3-4 with a 2.31 ERA in 2020. However, he allowed 17 runs in 13 innings in 2021, and he only pitched 5 games combined in the next two seasons. The Seibu Lions selected him in the 2023 NPB Active draft, and he recorded a 3.09 ERA in 27 appearances in 2024.
