Biographical Information

Yuta Naito was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 3rd round of the 2005 NPB draft, and he only got 4 at-bats combined in his first three seasons. He played 69 games with a .253/.309/.506 batting line in 2009, but he slumped to .125/.152/.125 in 2010. Naito then played 99 games (198 PA as a backup outfielder) with a .223/.263/.283 batting line in 2011, and he only played 8 games for the top team in 2012. He stayed in the minors for the entire 2013 season, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Naito hit .220/.265/.332 with 69 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
