Biographical Information[edit]

Yusuke Kajimoto played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 9 years.

Kajimoto was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 2nd round of the 2001 NPB draft, and he only got one at-bat combined for the big club in his first four seasons. He led the Eastern League with 94 hits in 2005, and he hit .156/.174/.200 in 2006 for the big club. Kajimoto only played 7 games in 2007, and he was 6-for-28 in 2008. He had a 7-for-26 record in 2009, but he didn't reach the big club in 2010 and he was released. The Orix Buffaloes signed him, and Kajimoto recorded a .204/.221/.226 batting line in 93 at-bats in 2011. His batting line was .213/.246/.328 in 42 games in 2012, but he stayed in the minors for the entire 2013 season and he was released again. Kajimoto went to the USA and joined the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2014, and he played 96 games with a .283/.369/.364 batting line. He hit .242/.313/.324 with 4 triples in 2015, and he recorded a .254/.338/.325 batting line in 38 games in 2016. Kajimoto jumped to the New Britain Bees in 2017, and he announced his retirement after hitting .256/.301/.339 in 98 games. He played every position except catcher and pitcher in his career.
