Biographical Information

Yusuke Itoh has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Itoh was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 5th round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Hidetoshi Tsuburaya. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons, and he also missed one year due to Tommy John surgery. Itoh had a 1.04 ERA in 8 games for the big club in 2024, and he notched 14 saves with a 1.29 ERA in 40 games in the minors. He tied for 9th in the Eastern League in appearances and was second to Tomoki Uemura in saves. The Softbank Hawks then picked him as the compensation for losing free agent Takuya Kai, and he completed 7 shutout innings in 2025.
