Biographical Information[edit]
Yukiya Ito has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Ito won a MVP in the 2017 fall season, and he represented Japan in the 2018 Haarlem Baseball Week (batting .200/.231/.240). He was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 2nd round the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Kunio Takesue. He hit .288/.333/.596 in 21 games in 2019, but he only got 29 more at-bats with the big club before the BayStars traded him to the Rakuten Golden Eagles for Kohei Morihara in 2022. Ito crushed 5 homers with a .245/.301/.367 batting line in 2023 (backing up Daichi Suzuki at 1B and Maikel Franco at 3B), and he played 44 games with a .261/.298/.383 batting line in 2024.
