Biographical Information

Yukihito Ranbashi played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years.

Ranbashi was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 6th round of the 1984 NPB draft, and he mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first four seasons; he only pitched 10 games for the top team. He had a 6.08 ERA in 21 games in 1989, and he improved to a 4.24 ERA in 32 games in 1990. Ranbashi's ERA rose to 5.25 in 11 appearances in 1991, and he went 3-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 1992. He pitched 12 games with a 1.59 ERA in 1993, but he allowed 9 runs in 7 2/3 innings in 1994 and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Ranbashi was 3-7 with a 4.57 ERA, struck out 90 and pitched 143 2/3 innings in 8 seasons in NPB.
